Brian Fortuna is a world-renowned professional ballroom and Latin dancer. Brian is based on the eastern coast of the United States in the Philadelphia area. He comes from a long line of dancers; both parents having nationally ranked titles in ballroom and Latin dancesport. Brian started dancing when he was 4 years old at his mother’s dance studio. |
Currently he teaches at Universal Dance Center in Collingswood, NJ. He is a visible and sought after instructor and performer nationwide. Brian credits include: a National Ballroom and Latin Ten Dance finalist, the choreographer and coach for the award winning salsa team, Ritmo Latino, a performer with the musical sensation, “The Trammps”, the champion of North American Amateur Latin Championships in 2003, and a top pro-am teacher. Brian specializes in Wheelchair Ballroom and Latin DanceSport. He is a teacher and performer for American DanceWheels Foundation, a non-profit organization that promotes ballroom and Latin dancing for people with disabilities. Recently he choreographed a commercial for the Bank of Madrid in Madrid, Spain, which showcased wheelchair dancing.
Brian also has experience in television and film. You may have currently seen him as a featured dancer in the oscar award winning film, “The Aviator” and the television series “South Beach” with Vanessa Williams. He also was the star of the nationally broadcasted Canadian documentary soap opera, “Live to Dance.”
